About Roundabout First Step

Role Description

Sheffield First Step is all about creating a safe place for six young individuals who might be facing homelessness or are at risk of it whilst completing their studies at school or college.

Our properties within Roundabout’s Sheffield First Step project are furnished flats and studios, and young people who live here also have a friendly project worker drop by now and again, to check all is well and to offer support if needed.

The intention is that the young people supported here will move on from the project when they head off on their exciting next step and go to university! We’re a stepping stone in their journey to success, offering a safe place to call home so they can focus on achieving their goals.

Being independent and having a steady income from work or benefits will be needed, but if you’re aged between 16 and 25, are going through a tough housing situation and are attending college or sixth form with big dreams of university, you might just fit right in!
