Are you passionate about making a tangible impact locally and changing the lives of vulnerable young people? Roundabout is looking for a Rapid Rehousing Support Worker to support homeless young people aged 16-25 in Sheffield.
About the role:
Rapid Rehousing’s role is to ensure that young people 25 and under who sleep rough in Sheffield can access local support systems. The role will coordinate with support services, and work with stakeholders to provide support, encouragement and advocacy to enable young people to navigate Roundabouts Rapid Rehousing service, engage in support and move away from living on the streets.
Working closely with homeless services in Sheffield and providing outreach support, actively managing a ‘caseload’ of young people who are ready to move away from living on the streets From the first point of contact with service-to-one one to one with young people who are sleeping rough, giving a continued single point of contact and support through Roundabouts Rapid rehousing service and support them in their recovery to find employment, undertake training, cultivate positive social circles and develop the necessary skills to maintain accommodation and independence avoiding a return to the streets
