Sing into Summer
‘Sing Into Summer’ with The Westside Singers and soprano Sarah Briggs, also raising money for ‘Roundabout’ a charity for young homeless people in Sheffield: Saturday 13th July, 7.30 – Wesley Hall Methodist Church, Crookes, S10 1UD
A varied and delightful feast of music for voices for our summer concert.
Some great tunes and powerful music, including an extract for Faure’s luminescent Requiem, a piece entitled ‘Peace’ by the young Swedish composer Martin Asander. A beautiful setting of words by Tennyson ‘ Crossing the Bar’ by American composer Donald McCullough as well as ‘Fields of Gold’, ‘The Sound of Silence’ the stirring Welsh hymn ‘Calon Lan’ and even ‘Rock around the Clock’!
Loads more on the menu of course (as well as excellent cakes and scones), but to find out what – you’ll have to come!
